Don began taxidermy as a hobby in the early '90's following his Navy career. He graduated from the Northwood School of taxidermy in Stoystown Pennsylvania. Since than, he has become a driving force in his field, and an inspiration to his peers.

A master taxidermist, Don is nationally recognized as one of the premier taxidermists in the country for his superior artistic ability. Don is best known for life size mammals, and game headwork of domestic game as well as exotics from around the world.

Since becoming a master taxidermist, Don has served as the Vice President of the West Virginia Taxidermist Association, and is currently sits on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Taxidermy Association. He is also an active member of the Summers and Raleigh Counties Chamber of Commererce.

Don has also introduced his teen son Josh into the competition circle. At the age of 12 with his very first deer head mount, Josh competed at the Pennsylvania Taxidermy Association Punxatuny show. He came away with a 1st Place Blue Ribbon, Won Best of Category in his division, and the Pennsylvania Taxidermy Association president Dan Snyder chose Josh as recipient of The Presidents Award.

When not working, Don divides his time between hunting with Josh and his youngest son Justin, and riding his new Harley-Davidson Road King.
